Dog Walking Club

WANTED! Volunteers to walk Council Bluffs Shelter Dogs!

Join the Dog Walking Cub at the Council Bluffs Animal Shelter. This group is made up of volunteers with a passion for pooches. The program gives the dogs the opportunity for exercise on the walking trail behind the shelter and for one-on-one socialization with people. Both activities make shelter dogs more appealing for adopters and more prepared to become wonderful pets. Another benefit for volunteers is the great cardiovascular workout!

If lots of walking is not your style, but you still want to help the dogs, volunteers are priceless in helping potential adopters choose a pet. Volunteers with excellent people skills help adopters by showing them the dogs and answering questions. Volunteers who help potential adopters results in a greater number of dogs going to loving homes.

To join the Animal Shelter Dog Walking Club, just call Karen at 712-352-1078 or email kinspector@msn.com. Orientation is the second Saturday of every month. See the orientation flyer for the scheduled dates of orientation. Even if you have time to walk just one dog, you make a difference and there is no better reward than receiving a thank you lick on the face!
